Sup cool people, ITASA is in less than TWO weeks. Be sure to register asap to avoid late fees and to guarantee your tshirt size. It'll be sad if you don't get one of our awesome American Apparel ITASA tees. And if you want hotel housing, do it soon too, rooms are going quickly! If you didn't register for hotel housing, we will assume you've found a place on your own, but if you really need help, we'll see what we can do :)

thank you.
The Conference Team would like to express our deepest gratitude to all of you who made it out to REMiX in '06. We hope you thoroughly enjoyed the conference, discovered something new, had a blast at the barn dance, and more. Our inspiration for this conference was to provide a place where we could refind and redefine what it means to be whoever it is we are, to forge identity, and to share in the Taiwanese American community. We also extend extra special thanks to all of our amazing speakers for sharing their diverse life experiences with us. We feel so fortunate to have had you all at ITASA Midwest.
Look back to this website in a few days. We’ll post up some pictures and link them here. Also, please give us feedback! We’d like to hear your thoughts on the conference, the things that went well and things that could be improved upon. Look at the Contact page for our info.
And again, thank you for joining us this weekend!
Love,
ITASA Midwest 2006 Conference Team

ITASA Midwest: Remix in '06.
our vision.
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is proud to host the 2006 ITASA Midwest Conference. This year’s theme and title is inspired by the idea that, as a whole, the Taiwanese American identity is constantly changing and evolving in a multitude of directions. But with that, from generation to generation, each person is in charge of his or her own experiences, and what to get from them. With the idea of the individual in charge of mixing what new school thought with old school tradition, the future is ahead of us with a road paved by our past. And as distinct as the individual is, we are forever linked.
