A. Getting to Downtown Chicago

low-high |
Amtrak trains are one of the most comforable forms of transportation out there. Seats are big and food/drinks can be bought on the train too. Prices are cheap if you order tickets online two weeks beforehand, but will escalate if you don't hurry! However, Amtrak trains are notorious for their delays so don't be surprised if you're one to two hour late. |

Greyhound buses are everywhere and prices are fair. Although sometimes late, they are generally on time. |
|
low |
Megabus are cheap and affordable by everyone! However, they don't seem to offer some places (such as Urbanna-Champaign) but is a good choice too. |
B. Getting to Evanston from Downtown Chicago

$3.35 |
Metra is a fast and cheap way to get from downtown Chicago to most suburbs, including Evanston! You will need to take the Union Pacific North line from Chicago (Ogilvie) to Davis St (Evanston). Check the website for schedules and details! |
|
$2.00 |
You have not experienced Chicago until you have experienced the eL (Chicago's 捷運)! It's the cheapest form of transportation around Chicago at the flat rate of $2.00. From downtown Chicago, you will want to get to a Red Line stop and go all the way to Howard Station and then transfer to the Purple Line and take it all the way to Davis or Foster Station which are in Northwestern. |

If you are driving a car, the best place to park your car for the weekend is a parking garage on campus. It's a short walk away from all of the locations for our conference, whether you are arriving on Friday or Saturday.
