ITASA Awards

The application for the 2021 ITASA awards have not yet been announced.

ITASA is proud to recognize exceptional students and organizations across the country each year. If you would like to nominate a TASA or student leader in one of the categories below, please fill out the following form. We will announce the winners of each ITASA Award at the ITASA 2018 East Coast Conference at Rutgers University. Award winners will also be recognized at the ITASA 2018 Midwest Conference at Case Western Reserve University. Any supplementary materials may be sent to info@itasa.org.


ITASA Awards Nomination Form

The ITASA Outstanding Achievement Award recognizes the best Taiwanese American student organization nationally. Any collegiate Taiwanese American student organization is eligible for nomination. The award is primarily based on overall quality of programs between January 2019 and January 2020 but also factors external (such as audience reached) and internal (such as leadership, membership, and creativity) development. Answer honestly - organizations will not necessarily be penalized for unsuccessful events but will be rewarded for consistent improvement.

The ITASA Outstanding Leader Award recognizes an individual in recognition of outstanding leadership and contribution to the Taiwanese American student community. An individual, with or without current ITASA National Board or Board of Directors affiliation, is eligible for nomination. Any individual may submit a nomination.

ITASA Outstanding New TASA

The ITASA Outstanding New TASA Award recognizes a recently or newly established Taiwanese American student organization that shows achievement as well as great potential in its first years. Any collegiate Taiwanese American student organization newly established or reestablished since January 2019 is eligible for nomination. Criteria include programming, leadership, and membership development. Answer honestly - organizations will not necessarily be penalized for unsuccessful events but will be rewarded for consistent improvement.

ITASA Outstanding Philanthropy Program Award

The ITASA Outstanding Leader Award recognizes an individual in recognition of outstanding 'leadership and contribution to the Taiwanese American student community. An individual, with or without current ITASA National Board or Board of Directors affiliation, is eligible for nomination. Any individual may submit a nomination.

ITASA Outstanding Project/Program Award

The ITASA Outstanding Project/Program Award recognizes a project or program by a Taiwanese American student organization that has positively impacted the community and promoted ITASA's mission statement. Any project or program sponsored or co-sponsored by a Taiwanese American student organization that took place between January 2019 and January 2020 to present is eligible for nomination.
