Past Programs

ITASA create initiatives that engage and empower students of the Taiwanese American community. These initiatives include, but are not limited to, leadership training, financial support programs, creation of community guidelines, and providing professional mentorship and resources for the Taiwanese American community.

Check out the past programs we've had in ITASA!

ITASA & TAP Alumni Network + Mentorship Program

The ITASA & TAP Mentorship Program is a collaboration between ITASA and our partner organization, TACL (Taiwanese American Citizens League) to help provide Taiwanese American college students with mentors in their fields of interest. Students are paired with a mentor from local participating TAP chapters based on similar career paths and personal interests.

Through the ITASA & TAP Mentorship Program, mentees will develop professional connections, broaden networks, and have access to professional and personal guidance from Taiwanese American professionals who have walked in their footsteps. The program will give students the opportunity to foster connections in the greater Taiwanese American community beyond ITASA.

We're excited to invite you on a week-long trip hosted by the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) in Taiwan, taking place January 3–8, 2027. Designed for college students connected to the Taiwanese American community. Whether through ITASA, a local TASA/TSA, or word of mouth, this trip is an opportunity to explore Taiwan, deepen your connection to your heritage, and build lasting friendships with peers who share similar backgrounds and interests.

OCAC x TACL Convention

OCAC wishes to reach out to the 2/3/4th generations of Taiwanese-America, and are interested in inviting Taiwanese-American college students come to the Taiwanese American Citizens League (TACL) convention, which will take place on the last weekend of September 2026. Other opportunities of the convention include career panels, rich networking opportunities, and enriching our Taiwanese heritage.

OCAC is also holding a night market experience event on September 19th, called Taiwan Night 2026: Voices of Diaspora. Hosted by the Overseas Community Affairs Council, ROC (Taiwan) in collaboration with the Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Offices (TECO) in Seattle, it was designed to engage younger generations of Taiwanese Americans.
